Away from variant thinking - towards modular logic

Previously, every possible combination in the configurator corresponded to a separate variant - with thousands of entries, this was an enormous administrative burden.

Example: A carport with a flat roof, equipment room on the left and gray posts was a separate variant. Even a small change, such as a different roof pitch or the equipment room on the right-hand side, made a new variant necessary.

Today, one click is all it takes: Individual parts are loaded dynamically, positioned automatically and combined directly – the configuration adapts in real time.

No mathematical knowledge is required to use the configurator - all calculations and rules are firmly defined in the background. Complex geometry, trigonometry and extensive product knowledge of statics, materials and dimensions are used.

Roof shape example:
The pitch of a pitched roof can be selected between 20 and 25 degrees. This choice automatically influences the length and angle of the rafters - and therefore also the required width. Everything is interlinked.

Example of material limits:
The individual boards for the wall panels cannot be longer than 4.20 m - this automatically influences the positioning of the posts to ensure stability and a flush look.

Previously, each clickable combination in the configurator was a separate variant - and a separate parts list had to be created and maintained manually for each one.

Today, this works much more intelligently: Instead of fixed variants, the bill of materials is calculated dynamically in the configurator - based on the options actually selected. Every change has a direct effect on the material requirements - automatically, up-to-date and without any additional maintenance work.

If the carport is ordered without factory paint, paint must also be supplied. The required quantity is calculated automatically - depending on the total area of all components and the selected color.

Everything is also covered for multi-colored configurations: individual elements can be selected in different colors. The quantity of paint is then calculated exactly for each color and component.

For items such as the aluminum design cover, the calculation is based on running meters. The configurator automatically determines the required running meters, adds them up and calculates the total price according to the selected configuration.

Roof areas are calculated on the basis of square meters. Depending on the selection - whether trapezoidal sheet metal, profiled wood or light panel - the area and price are calculated automatically and precisely.

Previously, price changes - such as when a color became more expensive - had to be adjusted manually in each individual variant. Today, all it takes is a single entry on the Combeenation platform: the new price is stored centrally and new configurations are then immediately loaded with the changed prices.

Customers choose for themselves: order directly or request a quote - everything runs automatically and without additional effort.
