The term relaunch is used to describe a new design. This can apply to a product, a service, a website or even a configurator. A configurator relaunch is when the design changes significantly and a new version is published.

 

What are the reasons for a relaunch?

It makes little sense to relaunch a functioning and appealing configurator. However, if the look, usability or performance are no longer up to date or you are getting a new corporate design, you should definitely consider a relaunch.

 

What needs to be considered when relaunching a configurator?

A question that companies often ask themselves too late, because attention should already be paid to a modular structure when creating the configurator. This structure provides a separation of product logic and optics. The great thing about the two modules: they act independently of each other. If you want to change the look and start a relaunch, the complex product logic in the background remains untouched.

Do configurators depend on websites & store systems?
