Two things are extremely important to us when developing configurators: full flexibility in the logic layer, for example in the definition of exclusions of certain configuration details. Secondly, freedom of design, which includes both the customer's general CD and the design of interaction elements. Combeenation offers us both, supplemented by many helpful standards that we don't have to migrate or redevelop every time.
 

You have already developed configurators yourself in the past. What challenges have you faced?

The challenges were many and varied, and ultimately every project is unique in terms of its requirements. From complex data structures to very sophisticated logic, everything was involved. Our projects in the automotive sector in particular require a great deal of expertise. There were also significant back-end issues, such as the administration of various clients and rights. Here in particular, we are very happy with the solution that Combeenation offers us.
 

What role do you think configurators will play for digital agencies in the future?

We predict an increasing demand here, both in the B2B and B2C sectors. The spectrum ranges from solutions that are primarily used for pricing (focus on B2B, keyword CPQ), to reliable access to possible variants with a wide range of choices, to the desire for a precise visual representation, from consumer goods to specific components. For us as a digital agency with a focus on the digitalization of sales processes, this is an important building block in the value chain that we develop for our customers, depending on the project.
